Space Cake
Just before the end of the year, Gustavo turned 1. And although he´s still a little too young for it, I decided to bake him his first space cake (and my first proper cake ever). After a full morning in the kitchen, we had a cake that looked like something out a bad sci-fi movie. Unfortunately, the little martian came down with some alien bug and the party had to be cancelled. The cake was frozen using state-of-the-art cryogenic techniques (aluminium foil and a freezer) and was revived two weeks later as a christmas cake (astronauts and martians excluded).
"The blog is moving"
Technically, the blog is not or will be moving. But by now we have moved countries, apartments, cell phones and blogs so many times that we thought it was about time we get a blog that stayed put through all our moving. And just because we moved back to Lisbon (for now), that doesn´t mean everything is staying put: for instance, yesterday Gustavo decided to move part of our books from the shelf to the floor. And today it was apparently time to move his clothes from the drawer to the floor. So you see, there will always be a reason to come back and visit us to check out our latest moves...
